Launch a coin
your wallet signs twice: the coin, then the split
On pump.fun, quoted in SOL. You connect a wallet and you sign twice: once for the coin, once for the split. Nothing here ever holds a key of yours, which is exactly why you have to sign.
- 01A wallet you already control signs itok
- 02The mint signs beside you, then is spentok
- 03The split, 75/25, is written on chainok
Nobody is sponsoring these. Your wallet pays the network fee and the account rent for both transactions, and the opening buy if you want one. There is no deposit and this service takes nothing up front.
Coin
nowThe split
fixedWritten into the chain in a second transaction, immediately after the coin exists. The program then revokes its own admin, so it cannot be changed.
7500 and 2500 basis points, summing to 10000. The module refuses to load if they do not
SOL
pump.fun itself can pair a coin with USDC or with a custom mint, and its own create screen offers exactly that. The builder this rail uses does not pass it through: `quoteMint` under `pool: pump` returns a byte-identical transaction naming no such mint, and `pool: bonk`, where the parameter is documented, answers 400. So the limit is OURS, not the protocol's, and a control here would do nothing until the creation instruction is assembled by hand
